US Personal Bank (USPB) delivers a wide array of banking, payments, and lending products to individual

consumers and small businesses. Our products and services cover a wide range of consumer banking

needs including credit cards, basic banking, mortgage, and point-of-sale lending products. To deliver on our brand promise, we must operate as a truly client-centric organization, driving a high tech, high touch

experience for the full Citi relationship across products, segments, and regions.

The U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) Chief Operating Office team is focused on strategic growth and

operational excellence across the USPB franchise. This highly visible team drives a broad portfolio of

strategic initiatives and business management activities ranging from expense productivity, operating model efficiency, digital transformation, talent & performance, and strategic growth. Initiatives are typically team-based and include heavy interaction with business / functional heads and their teams. The USPB COO team is composed of top performers from top strategy consulting firms and other internal Citi strategy groups.

The successful candidate for this position will lead the Business Management team, including Talent & Performance Management across USPB and will report to the USPB COO. The position presents an excellent opportunity to:

Areas of responsibility:

  • Own and drive critical talent, executive performance and scorecards, site strategy, and cross-business unit initiatives, and facilitate effective execution of these initiatives
  • Influence USPB’s talent and performance management agenda and execution roadmap by being an objective thought leader / partner to senior leaders
  • Lead projects end-to-end: identify and structure the problem, staff the project / engage stakeholders, shape analysis, and develop recommendations
  • Facilitate buy-in for change with senior leadership and mobilize stakeholders / program for implementation
  • Structure and build quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to track and measure initiative progress; identify, design, and operationalize tools where appropriate to streamline reporting and progress updates
  • Mentor junior staff and facilitate career development
  • Support development of CEO and Board-level presentations and communications

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience, with history of academic and professional excellence and achievement
  • Experience as a Business / Strategy / Finance Manager or Management Consultant within the consumer financial services industry, with expertise in business performance management, strategy development, data analytics and/or reporting
  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems, apply analytical tools to inform recommendation, and mobilize subsequent change in a large, highly matrixed organization
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to collaborate with colleagues from all levels from across the organization
  • Track record of fostering growth mindset and building high performing teams
  • Experience in consumer banking products strongly preferred

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
