Summary

Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) is a non-profit organization that supports the airport community with its talent acquisition needs. CAO has a proven track record for sourcing and staffing the right talent for top companies at JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia Airports. The Server will work onsite at JFK Airport.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests quickly and pleasantly, with a smile, and deliver beverages and menus promptly.
• Educate guests on menu items and wine and beer selections; make recommendations to guests upon request; communicating all daily food and drink specials.
• Assisting guests in entering all orders into the iPad/computer system.
• Preparing hot and cold drinks and mixed non-alcoholic drinks, and demonstrate appropriate wine service techniques.
• Assisting other servers as needed and clearing tables and assist in the training and development of new employees.

Qualifications

• Must become TIPS certified within 90 days of employment
• Must be fully conversational in English
• Able to lift 35 lbs. in weight
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Must be reliable and available to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays
