Job Description:
This is a Data Engineering role supporting a new initiative at Bank of America in Addison, TX. As a Senior Software Engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of Hadoop technologies, excellent project management skills, and high-level problem-solving skills. The incumbent will be required to design and implement Big Data tools and frameworks, implement ELT processes, collaborate with development teams, participate in testing/implementation of new Hadoop technologies and maintain the production system.
Required Skills:
7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
Strong understanding of Java or Python
Collaborate with Solution Architects and technology groups to designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions
Experience working on Agile teams
Able to assist in testing the software code and infrastructure to support data ingestion for multiple teams
Support multiple projects with competing deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Must have hands on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions in Big Data Platforms
Experience building E2E Data Engineering solution using Big Data technologies
Understanding and experience with Hadoop ecosystem (preferably Cloudera)
Experience in HDFS, Map Reduce, Hive, impala, Linux/Unix technologies
Experience in Unix shell scripting
Experience programming in Python, Scala or Java
Able to analyze the existing shell scripts/python code to debug any issues
Sound knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and experience with large SQL based systems
Ability Benchmark and debug critical issues with algorithms and software as they arise
Exposure to RDBMS data bases like DB2, oracle and TeradataWork with line of business (LOB) personnel, external vendors, and internal Data Services team to understand requirements and communicate with DEV teams in compliance with corporate standards for architecture adherence and performance guidelines

This position will focus on natural resources project management as well as managing projects and staff in Stantecs restorations group.
Filling orders, receiving money, accurately counting back change and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Basic knowledge of math and handling money.
He/She will lead infrastructure projects with low to medium uniqueness, limited cross functional impact and limited system span. PMI PMP or PgMP preferred.
General clean-up including weed removal. Operating a variety of different mowers, edgers, blowers, and other equipment used for landscape maintenance.
