Job Description

This role is in the Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) organization. RCES Cast Members work on behalf of the District designing, operating, and maintaining District owned utility systems across the Walt Disney World Resort. This Senior Programmer Analyst has broad technical capabilities and extensive responsibilities related to the RCES Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) based on numerous GE Grid software platforms and Windows servers. This position plans, designs, constructs, and manages the Electrical Distribution System Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System.

The Sr Programmer Analyst reports to the Network Services Manager and is a part of a diverse and dynamic team.

You Will

  • Manage & improve the Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition System (SCADA)
  • Design hardware & software, programming, configuration, and near-continuous upgrades of the SCADA Master Station & related end-user computers
  • Configuration of networked remote terminal units & related field devices, including the configuration of Schweitzer communications processors
  • Develop, implement & maintain near-real-time & historical data access to end-users via the web & VBA spreadsheets
  • Develop, implement & maintain real-time data transfer with field devices and other utilities

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience with process controls, communications, or networking
  • Experience with utility SCADA systems software and architecture including server systems and database management
  • Programming experience with C++ or similar language
  • Must be available to work outside regular work hours in response to job demand, equipment availability, and system/equipment emergencies as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Power Distribution Systems
  • Experience with ICCP, SEL (Relays), DNP3 MODBUS protocols
  • Experience with SQL Server configuration and programming
  • Familiarity with web-based programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, C#

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 2 years of relevant experience

Or

  • Associates Degree in a technical field with 4 years of relevant experience

Or

  • High School diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
