Description:The Barra One Risk Analyst will play a critical role in managing risk at LMIMCo. The Barra One System functions as the Enterprise Risk Platform which conducts VAR Analysis, Scenario Analysis, Multi-Factor Analysis across all business lines. The system allows us to analyze risk from several different risk management perspectives. For example, the enterprise risk dashboards contain all assets held in the firm, while specific asset class dashboards only show assets within that class, but in greater detail. The analyst will be exposed to every important element of Barra One production support, data management, integration, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
The role's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Development of management reporting, reporting dashboards, and strategic tools to highlight risks and to improve visibility and facilitate escalation to senior leadership
- Developing methods and tools to streamline and increase efficiencies of the risk identification process
- Provide support for infrastructure and technologies across the full life cycle of the Barra One Financial Platform (Barra One Imports/Exports, Rejected Securities, Reconciliation)
- Ongoing learning of best practices and advice on how to maximize our usage of the Barra One Risk platform
- Play an important role in the ongoing development, implementation and upgrade of risk systems
- Assist with investment modeling for complex structured transactions and derivatives
- Actively participate in the development of enterprise wide and portfolio level stress testing
- Assist with the creation of policies, procedures, and process documentation
- Contribute to projects and working groups related to Risk Management
- Produce documentation and presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, preference is for the candidate to come from a background in Finance or demonstrable equivalent skill level experience/combined education, with 5 years or more of related professional experience
- Working knowledge of institutional investing in various asset classes including, equity, fixed-income, commodities, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, etc. and familiarity with derivatives
- Previous working experience in a risk management or control discipline, within the financial industry or any other industry
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office products
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrated persistence to see projects through completion and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain professional relationship with internal/external personnel
- Ability to analyze information, identify and articulate problems and trends
- Effective time management and communication skills with the ability to organize a workload with competing priorities
- Ambitious, self-starter with an attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Post graduate qualification and degrees such as CFA, FRM, MBA or equivalent beneficial
- Technology systems experience and familiarity with Barra One, FactSet and Bloomberg
- Significant experience with analysis and reporting of financial products and financial risk
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with experience driving projects, and ability to implement change in a cross-functional environment
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
