Aston Health is seeking a highly skilled Regional Nurse!

The Regional Nurse will be responsible for the provision of expert advice and oversight to facility management personnel and line staff to ensure that systems are maintained to effectively and efficiently operate the facility in a manner to safely meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS for the position of Regional Nurse:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience in a Long-Term Care setting (SNF) or Long-Term Care Surveyor experience
  • Previous Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Consulting experience is required.
  • Previous multi-facility experience required
  • A current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in State of practice
  • Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics
  • Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of infection control principles and practices
  • The Regional Nurse is knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Responsibilities of the Regional Nurse include, but are not limited to:

  • The Regional Nurse evaluates regulatory compliance and determines clinical education needs for our clients as it relates to pharmacy services
  • Conduct quality assurance audits to aid clients with preparation for successful, compliant state surveys
  • Identify and provide recommendations regarding deficiencies and opportunities around drug inventories, storage, and distribution
  • Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care
  • Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit and training

TRAVEL:

  • Ability to travel throughout region up to 80%
