Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will lead and guide a team of testers and work closely with project teams and stakeholders. They will also be responsible for building and executing testing programs for Dollar Tree/Family Dollar Merchandise and Back Office systems. The QA Lead will also perform resource capacity planning, prepare and review QA estimate, and coordinate all QA activities for their assigned systems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of internal and external QA testers
  • Perform resource capacity planning and conduct meetings with manager and project stakeholders
  • Participate in new project intake meetings
  • Govern QA processes and prepare and share status reports (daily, weekly and others as applicable) for project stakeholders.
  • Estimate QA efforts and create and review test plans, based on business requirements.
  • Coordinate all testing activities between QA Team/Development Teams/Business/vendor, for assigned projects.
  • Conduct and drive defect triage calls
  • Prepare and review the test strategy documents as needed
  • Perform test execution as and when needed
  • Proactively raise, escalate and communicate quality issues and potential project risks
  • Should define the appropriate QA automation framework working with the development and architect teams
  • Design, create and execute automation scripts
  • Perform project and non-project related tasks and activities to support the department's goals and objectives
  • Proactively look at opportunities on improving the QA process with best practices as applicable
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools and applications to support the business
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years testing experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Lead from a retail organization
  • Prior work experience in Retail domain required
  • Experience using test automation and performance tools
  • Hands on experience in API automation
  • Hands on experience in TDD with Cucumber/Selenium and Java or Python
  • QA Lead experience in Agile/Scrum based projects
    • Story Point estimation experience
    • In-Sprint Automation experience
  • Hands On experience creating QA dashboards
  • Should have strong knowledge in best practices working in Agile teams, test strategies and automation
  • Proven experience in team building and hiring
  • Ability to organizing, prioritizing activities across multiple projects is essential
  • Experience working with multiple vendors and distributed teams
  • Need robust understanding of various type of test strategies and their applicability
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Microsoft UFT
  • Experience in Cloud Assurance Testing
  • High level experience on Performance Testing process and tool sets
  • Working in an environment with incremental product releases is desirable
  • CSTE / ISQTB certification
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Develops Methodologies
  • Experience testing Oracle Retek (RMS) and OTM
  • Experience testing applications running on iSeries
