Position Overview:

The Sr. Principal Industrialization Engineer, is responsible for creating and executing the Industrialization Strategy of our latest developed advanced technologies, bringing it from the laboratory to serial production. This role will require deep knowledge in aircraft component certification and documentation, mechanical & electrical manufacturing technologies, embedded software systems, process development, and factory & work cell design.

The Sr. Principal Industrialization Engineer will be very close with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and other relevant partners and external suppliers to develop the best path towards product introduction, while identifying and managing risks, while being task with understanding the product requirements and translating those to the manufacturing plant (Timeline; Technology; Industrial requirements; Product requirements, and so on). The Engineer will generate or create project information from an industrial perspective to enable it to be processed by the manufacturing plant.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead, plan, manage and execute strategic technology industrialization initiatives to scope, schedule and budget that will support the Interiors technology and product roadmaps.

Develop and implement standardized technology industrialization processes, tools and reporting system.

Lead integrated project teams and interacts with key stakeholders and groups across Interiors and Collins Aerospace (US, EU & Asia technology and engineering teams, Collins strategic business units and Interiors value streams), engineering, certification, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service and support focused on technology industrialization in the areas of specification generation, technology/manufacturing readiness level progression, product verification and validation, qualification, certification, and product/technical support.

Develops relationships with strategic external suppliers.

Contribute to strategic planning activities by providing technology industrialization recommendations, proposals, and roadmaps to support the needs for process maturity.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.

Preferred Qualifications:

An Advanced Degree in Science, Technology, & Engineering or related field of study

Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Composite design, analysis, and/or simulation modeling

FAA/EASA Certification

Additional experience with advanced manufacturing and industry 4.0 is desirable

Strong project management experience with leading large engineering programs

Strong communication skills and ability to work both remote and onsite with the global teams

Lean / Continuous Improvement such as Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, UTC ACE, or RTX CORE

Excellent documentation and technical writing skills, with ability to efficiently use MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

Strong contributor to a positive work environment that focuses on solutions

Base pay range for this job code is $112,000-$236,000 USD. Fulltime pay range.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
