Description

SAIC is seeking a Policy Analyst to support DoD CIO with a full range of Policy, analytic and administrative services to ensure smooth operation of the DoD CIO Action Group (CAG). A successful candidate will be able to work in a high pace environment, deliver quality products and address multiple requirements. This individual will apply their Analytic and administrative skills to help solve complex issues and ensure the CAG’s workflow continues even during high demand activities.

  • This role requires comprehensive support of DAFA CIO Council and other governance activities that clearly communicate the DoD CIO’s Council vision and outlines the path for its achievement.
  • This work will include development of individual talking points that target specific DoD CIO issues, audiences, and/or topics; and develop a full explanation of the issue to be addressed, the audience targeted, the outcome desired, the schedule, and other relevant information.
  • Plan, execute and manage DoD CIO strategic communications portfolio for senior DoD CIO executive leadership, to include internal, external and intra-governmental engagements.
  • Provide briefings to the DoD CIO and senior executives on media articles, and assist in their preparation for internal and external speaking engagements.
  • Plan, coordinate and attend external speaking engagements as requested by the DOD CIO and senior executives. This may include traveling with senior executives to external venues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
  • Team member well versed in Pentagon staff work
  • Self starter
  • Able to work with minimal guidance
  • Willing to take ownership of a portfolio
  • Able to give regular status updates to Chief of Staff and Deputy
