Pharmacy Technician.
East Boston.
Per-Diem.
Sign-on bonus of $625!
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing support and assistance to clinical staff in the management of medication ordering and delivery. Communicates among several individuals, including patients, co-workers, insurance companies, and prescribers. Works on a team to fulfill prescription orders from start to finish with an in-depth understanding of each workstation Demonstrates compassion and care by proactively identifying and resolving potential problems. This is a per-diem position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complies with policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, and protect patient privacy and security.
- Understands and follows applicable Federal and State laws (e.g. HIPAA), regulations (e.g. OSHA), professional standards, and ethical principles.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED required.
- Current valid and unrestricted pharmacy technician license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
- Must have completed Pharmacy Technician Trainee requirements
- Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English as well as basic reading and math skills.
- Computer proficiency with an electronic medical record.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service.
