PHARMACIST – MEDICAL HOME PORT

SITE OF SERVICE:

• Pharmacy Department at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, NC and at its Branch pharmacies, in support of the Medical Home Port (MHP) and Marine Centered Medical Home (MCMH) program.
• Full time position

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation
  Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• Experience: One 1 year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

• Services shall be provided Sunday through Saturday 0500 - 2400 for an 8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute uncompensated meal break.
• The Pharmacy operates 24 hours per day, but Pharmacists do not generally work after 2330 hours, with overnight hours covered by a Pharmacy Technician.
• In no instance will a pharmacist be required to provide services in excess of 80 hours per 2-week pay period.
• Scheduling: Specific days, hours, and shift length will be scheduled by the Commanding Officer or designee.
• The specific schedule for each two-week period will be provided one month in advance by the government supervisor or designee. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and the government

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
