ASRC Federal is expanding our US Department of Agricultural portfolio and has opportunities nationwide. Experience with government contracting, specifically in "rural development" is strongly desired. ASRC Federal is seeking a strong Paralegal I to help support a USDA contract focusing on loans and grants. This ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate, including a background in closing real estate transactions.

Location: Remote (ability to travel if necessary)

Clearance: Must be able to pass a government issued background check

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts desktop reviews of closing packages and executed loan closing conditions to determine if all required conditions have been met.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; 5 years of relevant work experience with High School diploma/GED and a paralegal certificate.
  • One (1) years of commercial real estate and related experience, including a background in closing real estate transactions with a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Must be able to pass a government issued background check.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and legal software, including databases, spreadsheets, and document management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and be able to spot errors or inconsistencies in legal documents
  • High ethical standards, adhere to client confidentiality requirements, and avoid engaging in unauthorized practice of law.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience supporting government contracts or federal work experience
  • Experience supporting USDA and/or rural development
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with all levels of professionals.
  • Effective communication skills; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Be able to travel if necessary.
