Job Description

Salary: $90k - 110k per year

We are currently seeking a Materials Engineer with a background in Aerospace Engineering, Finite Element Analysis, and expertise in identifying materials with excellent wear and scuff resistance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and testing new materials and coatings, optimizing existing materials, and providing technical support to ensure optimal performance of materials in various aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development activities to identify materials with superior wear and scuff resistance for aerospace applications.
  • Perform finite element analysis to simulate the behavior of materials under different environmental conditions and loads.
  • Design, develop, and test new materials and coatings to enhance the performance and durability of aerospace components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, design, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders on material selection, properties, and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in materials engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong background in finite element analysis, materials testing, and characterization techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to aerospace materials.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
