Infrastructure Specialist - Windows Server (Hybrid-Harrisburg, PA)

We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Specialist for our client, a Commonwealth of PA entity. This position will be responsible for but not limited to maintaining and monitoring all network, security, and computer systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements.

This contract position is long-term with current funding approved until 6/30/24. Further extensions are likely, and funding is approved every 12 months, 40 hours per week role. This is a Hybrid role in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with one day onsite. Preferred candidates would live within one hour's commutable distance of Harrisburg, PA.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for management, maintenance and architecture of storage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices, and productivity tools.
Deploy application code through development lifecycle in coordination with development teams.
Test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications.
Cater to doing infrastructure coordination related to design and setup activities at different stages of a project.
Professionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects.
Performs Network Management functions using various management and monitoring tools available including sophisticated network management systems.
Solid technical background in a client/server environment including infrastructure networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications.
Installs/configures servers and server software/drivers.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
5+ years of experience with MS Clustering.
4+ years of experience with Microsoft IIS
5+ years of experience with VMWare vSphere is highly desired.
3+ years of experience with Azure and Linux is highly desired.
