Tipton & Hurst is a third-generation family owned florist and specialty home & gift retailer headquartered in Little Rock, AR. In business for over 134 years, we have five retail locations in the greater Central Arkansas area. With design expertise and impressive, fresh style, we have a prominent client list and our designs are featured in hotels, businesses and high profile events throughout the region.

We are a high end, fast-paced shop looking for a vibrant, service-oriented retail salesperson to join our team. We are looking for someone great at sales, promotion, and the client experience. Design work includes assisting callers or walk-ins with floral arrangement needs, luxury gifts & accessories, bridal registration, etc. You must be able to multitask, work quickly and LOVE what you do. We are tech savvy and you will need to catch on quickly to our POS system (computer skills needed) web site and social media and be on your feet for several hours a day. The perfect fit is someone with fabulous customer service skills, keen ability to follow instructions, and a positive mindset - starting immediately.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer questions and concerns in the Tipton & Hurst Way - satisfaction guaranteed for more than 134 years!
  • Assist clients with floral and accessory product selection and design floral and plant product based on skill and experience level
  • Take an active role in maintaining and developing existing and new client relationships, including following up as needed to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Participate in daily set up and break down of store
  • Contribute to the consistent maintenance and refreshment of product merchandising
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Previous experience in luxury retail, design and/or hospitality industries is preferred
  • Professional or personal experience in floral and/or interior design is desired but not required
  • Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet client needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation
  • Knowledge of the floral industry a plus.

  • Flexible work schedule required including weekend and holiday availability
  • Peak business periods may require extended work days and work weeks
  • Ability to lift and move product weighing up to 30 pounds
