Are you a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to jumpstart your career with a leading and reputable company? Our client, a design-build geotechnical contractor, is seeking a Geotechnical Field Engineer to add to their team. They are focused on training up the future leaders of geotechnical engineering/construction. The ideal candidate will have at minimum a B.S. in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and a basic understanding of geotechnical engineering and construction principles. Must have E.I.T. certification or able to soon obtain.

GEOTECHNICAL FIELD ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop complete estimates for large, complex jobs.
• Reviews all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinions.
• Conduct site investigation prior to forming a plan of operations to identify any problems or conditions of an unusual nature that may be present.
• Consult with owners on various problems discovered during bid preparation, design, rates, schedules, etc
• Manage schedule, budget, and manpower to meet and exceed deadlines and budgets
• Create measurements to determine the strategic plan is met during all phases of construction
• Review bid documents for value engineering and cost savings

GEOTECHNICAL FIELD ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering and construction principles.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Track record of effective leadership and communication skills
• Able to travel as needed to support projects in Southeast U.S. region
