Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates, assigns and monitors work activities of staff assigned to the transport team
- Assists clients with preparation of necessary documents (i.e., food stamps, medical coverage, social security, housing, medical history, birth certificates and yearly school records)
- Provides instructions to clients in areas of budgeting, nutrition, hygiene, parenting, housekeeping, child development and community resource awareness
- Transports and accompanies clients to various appointments and potential placement visits
- Supervises visitation between foster children and birth parents and documents progress of family interactions.
- Enters data into computer system
- Stays current in proper use of child safety seats
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with families and/or children
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- The ability to work well under pressure
- A willingness to work as part of a team
