The Challenge:

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development – and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

You'll analyze, develop, and maintain functional test cases for an integrated Cyber defense tools solution. Testing in this role includes system integration testing with emphasis on data verification within multiple integration layer tools. Experience with backend and database testing, data migration test support is desirable. You'll identify test scope and author test cases that verify requirements at both the feature and integrated solution level. You'll participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with developers. You will demonstrate expertise in manipulating data, reading data, and verifying data transformation logic and code to determine the initial and final state of a dataset.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with functional testing

  • 1+ years of experience with backend testing

  • Experience with the software development life cycle and test processes

  • Experience with UNIX and Linux

  • Experience with test management tools, including JIRA

  • Ability to be flexible, independent, and self-motivated

  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and debugging

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Associate's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in working with Agile, including a Scrum team

  • Experience in working with enterprise Cyber defense tools, including WorkspaceOne, IBM MaaS360, Microsoft Intune, ForeScout, BigFix, or Tenable Security Center

  • Experience with data analytics tools, including Splunk, ElasticSearch, or Logstash

  • Experience with automated test tools, including SoapUI or Behave

  • Experience with using Web APIs, including REST or SOAP

  • Experience with working in large federal agency environments

  • Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree a plus

  • Security+ certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
