Position Summary
This position is responsible for assessing and responding to the needs of the community, building strategic relationships, and conducting outreach activities to increase awareness and utilization of programs within the Crime Victims & Rape Crisis Center (CVRCC) and the Division of Community Services (DCS).
Pay Grade: 51
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education Minimum Qualifications
100.00% - 1. Four (4) years of experience working with community outreach and engagement programs; and
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration/health or related field; OR
3. An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plans and executes programming to improve violence prevention and victim services outreach and engagement for the residents of Shelby County.
2. Assists with the development and implementation of strategies to create a sustainable, culturally competent, and trauma-informed workforce and environment.
3. Assists with the identification of service gaps for the purpose of program development and implementation, which includes facilitating community needs assessments to guide CVRCC"s community engagement efforts.
4. Serves as a participant on the DCS outreach and engagement strategy team and represents CVRCC and DCS at internal, external, or promotional events.
5. Develops, implements, and participates in outreach and engagement activities which facilitate access to programs of CVRCC and DCS by Shelby County residents.
6. Assists with developing promotional and educational materials and social media content.
7. Establishes and maintains strategic relationships with internal and external community partners.
8. Recruits, trains, coordinates, and supports CVRCC"s volunteers and interns.
9. Assists with data collection, analysis, reporting, and dissemination of CVRCC"s outreach and engagement activities.
10. Assists with the development and dissemination of surveys from CVRCC"s stakeholders and community partners related to the direct impact of CVRCC"s work.
11. Responds, refers, and tracks client-driven and victim-centered services for desired outcomes.
12. Assists senior leadership with the development and implementation of training and professional development for new and existing employees, as well as provides supervision for specified staff.
13. Creates, implements, and maintains CVRCC"s marketing and branding strategies.
14. Performs other related duties as required or directed. KSA's

5. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal presentations. Special Requirements
1. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver"s license or secure one upon date of employment.
2. Must have daily access to an operable automobile for daily use and meet county requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment.
