About us

Oregon Institute of Foot Care is a boutique, single physician private practice in downtown Lake Oswego. Our goal is to provide personalized foot care and achieve the outcomes, both functionally and cosmetically, that our patients desire. The office has been providing foot care for over 30 years in Lake Oswego and Dr. Tyler Manson took over the practice in 2022. Dr. Manson has been practicing for 8 years and enjoys using the latest technology and cutting edge treatment modalities.

We are searching for a medical clinic assistant to perform a variety of tasks in our podiatry clinic. We work with EPIC electronic medical records. We have a small staff of only 4 people, including Dr. Manson. We are looking for a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Every other Friday, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • Average 34.5 hours per week
  • Greet patients and bring them to the exam room.
  • Record patients' medical history in computer.
  • Insurance verification for procedures, DME, and imaging.
  • Maintains patient medical records, updating patient medical history, including vital signs, medical treatments and medication provided.
  • Prepares for patient visits. Reviews the patient file, including requests for labs, referrals and correspondence. Verifies and ensures necessary reports are present. Provides updates to Provider team as needed.
  • Collaborates with Dr. Manson to ensure efficiency of schedules and continuity of care. Discusses patients scheduled for the day including pre-visit prep.
  • Prepares and maintains patient exam rooms, ensuring that appropriate supplies are in the room and that necessary equipment is present and sterilized.
  • Provides limited education and/or coaching for patients within scope. This includes discharge information and/or responding to follow-up questions. Instructs patients about medication and possible allergic reactions.
  • Responds to patients’ questions and concerns in person, via email, and phone. If the question is outside of scope, directs inquiries to Dr. Manson.
  • Assists physician during procedures, treatments, and minor office surgeries.
  • Perform peripheral arterial exams under the guidance and training of Dr. Manson
  • Answer phones, triage and schedule patients
  • Cross train in other areas of the clinic such as front desk to help cover when needed

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
