Job Description

Business analysts serve as a liaison between the customer and the product development team by collecting, analyzing and translating customer feedback into requirements for product enhancements and development.

On a day-to-day basis, the business analyst works with a team of product managers, designers, software developers, and quality assurance personnel to continually improve our software and products. To succeed, the business analyst will act as a subject matter expert on the customer and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure we deliver software and products that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Listen and disseminate information from key stakeholders, maintaining a focus on impartially, gathering, documenting, organizing and prioritizing these in a suitable format, and in sufficient detail, for use by the Business Owner, Product Owner, Development team and Project Manager
  • Become an expert in one or more Willis Towers Watson Benefits Accounts products.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our customers’ business needs.
  • Translate customer feedback into requirements in the form of user stories for product development.
  • Liaise between the customer, internal stakeholders and the product team to ensure software and products meet customer needs.
  • Create acceptance criteria and other assets to guide testing and validation; help product development team(s) make critical release decisions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to review, understand, and appreciate the work of the product development team(s) including iteration demos and presentations.
Requirements

  • 1-3 years of product or software development experience with consumer web applications, mobile apps, enterprise software solutions; or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-3 years of experience collecting, analyzing and translating customer feedback into requirements in the form of user stories.
  • 1-3 years of experience in employee benefits, health care or insurance related experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in an agile software or product development environment.
  • Experience with agile product development tools such as roadmaps, user story maps and backlogs.
  • Experience with user research and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills; an ability to concisely communicate key
    • issues/results in a manner appropriate to a wide range of audiences, including executives and clients.
  • Experience working with 3rd party software vendors
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with project management, stakeholders, design, engineering, and QA staff.
  • Experience in creating and delivering health care software products is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, and performance in the role.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $85,000 - $90,000. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
