Benefits Manager
Silgan Containers is hiring for a Shared Services Benefits Manager in our Woodland Hills, CA office.
We offer you:
- Salary is a base wage of $97,500-$126,700/year. Salary is based on several factors like years of experience, education, unique skills, performance, labor market conditions, and location.

What you’ll do: (a complete list of required job tasks can be found on the job description)
- Serve as the benefits subject matter expert for multiple business units of Silgan Holdings.
- Manage 20 different health plans.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of benefit programs, policies, and procedures.
- Aid in the evaluation, recommendations, and selection of employee benefit plans, including health, life, and disability for represented and non-represented employees to achieve desired economic cost structure goals of the business.
- Inform, educate, and influence senior management in each division about benefit options and future cost predictions for existing benefit programs.
- Work with consultants to renegotiate or reevaluate vendors in search of cost savings.
- Work with outside ERISA attorneys to keep plan documents legally compliant as well as review new plan documents.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or Business, master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of benefits experience.
- Comprehensive employee benefits knowledge, including all legislative requirements.
- The ability to travel up to 10% annually.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel, Workday HCM preferred.
- Experience working in manufacturing, with locations in multiple states spanning multiple unions.
